IMF was a legand in it's own way. It brought music from countries that normally wouldn't come across our T.V. Guess what Ovation? Most people loved it to. A bigger majority of the population liked the music IMF was playing. Let's admit classical and all this other bullcrap Ovation shows is not as popular as the main stream music that was playing on our televisions from all around the world. You can have your bloody Ovation! I admit it is not so bad(if you where totally bored out of your mind), but don't replace it with our IMF!!! IMF helped me discover Mucc from Japan! Without them I don't know what I would do! Can Ovation do that for me? Most definately not. So Ovation, this is what I ask of you. Pack your bloody bags up, and give IMF its lovely home on channel 157 if you have Dish Network! Gosh, I am watching Ovation right now. The title is Belly Talkers and it has a stupid little puppet on it. I shall turn it before it does damage to my eyes. Oh, how I wish IMF was back!

I'm glad to see over year later people are still as outraged as I am about this decision.  What? Now am I forced to watch this American dribble on the music channels that are left? IMF needs to come back.  IMF was the perfect blend of music, culture, information, etc.  I bought so much musice from around the world that I would had NEVER been exposed to watching (MTV, BET, VH1 and whatever so call music channels are left).  I refuse to watch those channels!  IMF!  IMF!  IMF!  IMF!! IMF!!  IMF!!

I really miss IMF it was a way to see what kinds of things were going on in the music industry all around the world, plus they played really great undiscovered bands that deserved the recognition everywhere. They made a horrible business decision when they sold it. I hope the quick pay off was worth losing years of constant profit.

IMF was my favorite music channel, and I frequented their forums often, also keeping my nose in whatever JRock-related things they were doing. They were the only music channel that had the GUTS to play rock music from Japan, when everyone else was playing Emo garbage.

They were going to do a full show just on JRock called "JRock Feed" (don't believe me? Search on Youtube and see for yourself!) But before they could even do this, Ovation destroyed them. Even after this long, I still mourn tearfully for what was the last ACTUAL music video channel.

imf was always my favorite channel on tv. it was where i could listen to music that wasn't on the top 40 charts…that's what mtv and vh1 are for. i know, imf had a show for that. but, that was the only show i didn't watch.
i wish there was a way to just put it back on air.

What did ovation do with IMF. They bought them out and shut them down. I will not ever support ovation tv and it's programming is loaded with commercials that severely damages the quality of the art that they advertise they offer. What they actually are doing is playing commercials with edited cut up art inserted at times. I have been viewing satellite tv since 1991 and commercial free music channels since 1981. The management is a disgrace to the music and television industry.

OMMGGGGG Why does the bad things always happen to the good stuff. I mean really…. why take the best music station on TV and replace it with old fat people attempting to sing, why not wipe out MTV!! It steals peoples intelligence. You all have made a big mistake.. and I hope it haunting to you for the rest of your lifes. So pleace bring back IMF. Pleasseeeee!!!

With IMF it opened me up to the music overseas. It opened me up to one of my favorite bands Nevada TaN aka: "PANIK". Also it allowed me to hear some Japanese music. Some of the best stuff ever

Why the hell wold they do that. IMF was the best. It actually played music, not like the other "music" channels. This channel helped me discover a ton of great music. They could have at least kept the website. But seriously they should bring it back!!!. Get rid of Ovation!

Yeah. As an indie kid who couldn't stand most other the music my peers listened to, IMF was HEAVEN. I love diversity, and living in a town full of the same whack minorities, I was relived to get a taste of other cultures and other parts of the world. They not only add international music, but they had international facts and fun info. That's where I first found out about M.I.A., before this pineapple express song thing made her famous. Do you know how INDIE that is to know about someone who know makes millions back when they were NO ONE! I knew about one of her FIRST hits, a low budget video and song, "Bucky Dun Gun". IMF was HOME. Esp. when I had a rough day - I could come and chill with this music, laugh and feel better. I wake up one Saturday morning (cause it got my DAY STARTED TOO!) and then I see this old white guy talking about the classical movies he likes. I thought it was just a temporary show they were trying. Then I saw a movie he liked where a black girl was kidnapped, murdered, thrown out of a car and left dead and bleeding on a white family's lawn. I was like - WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT!!!!????!!!! So, not only is "ovation" snobby and boring - but the bitches are RACIST TOO! As you can see, even in late July and AUGUST, people still mourn the loss of IMF! I don't know why it's called ovation, cause it'll never get a round of applause! Bitch ass tricks!

I hate this ovation station. They went from having all sorts of different music to having old guys talking about classical music for an hour and how they trumpet was a lil off key because of the polish or some crap. I hope ovation goes out of business

Seriously IMF was the best music channel EVER!!!! MTV and all that crap has only turned into stupid reality shows. Its ridiculous. IMF was the best!!! It helped me find Tokio Hotel and Girugamesh and Acid Android and stuff like that. I loved all that music from other countries. It was awesome to watch. Ya'll made a huge mistake taking that off the air. You have no idea how many viewers ya'll probably had. It was a great station. I always watched that and Sirius 6038 Trance and 6027 Heavy Metal! They are my favorites. PUT IMF BACK ON THE AIR!!!! IT WAS GREAT!!

IMF was one of my favoret channels too, and I'm with tom, it was the only music station I watched. IMF has been of the air for seven months and it needs to come back. UMG needs to notice that they lost a hellva lot of vewers by putting this program or whatever in IMFs rightful place… Bring back our IMF!

Its been almost seven months since IMF was disconnected, and still miss it and i want it back!!! Not even a why it was disconnected, i just turned on my tv one day and it was gone! I hate the new ovation tv channel is so boring! I loved IMF because all it showed was videos not like those other "music" channels that show other things that are not even about music!! OvationTV is not going to educate us all we're going to do is just go to a diffrent channel which will actually let us watch music videos. But IMF was the best music source for music all over the globe. Ovation, is a disapointment.

IMF was the only place that shows ACTUAL music videos, not reality show crap like MTV. Because of IMF, I was introduced to other bands and singers. I heard that IMF was going to have a block that focused on Jrock, but no instead its Ovation. Now, the only place where I can watch music videos from around the world is the internet. I want IMF! I want my Jrock! People from Ovation or UMG, you just made a blunder. Make a music channel that is focused on music from around the world and ONLY MUSIC FROM AROUND THE WORLD.

IMF was THE best channel ever! MTV is wayyy over rated and IMF provided insite about music from other countries. I hope they know they lost MILLIONS of customers… and the new program is not something people will regularly watch! They really do need to put IMF back on air! Every time i change the channel and end up on OvationTV i loose a couple brain cells. I dont learn ANYTHING!!....

I can't believe IMF sold out to Ovation. That sucks!! Now people that actually liked watching music videos, do not have a channel to watch now. All the other shows (cough cough—MTV, MTV2, VH1, and even Fuse just show crap more than 75% of the time). WE WANT MUSIC VIDEOS BACK!!

I believe Ovation's music programmers are the same ones used by WKRP in Cincinnati.  They were good in their day, but their day is long past.

I came back from vacation to find that IMF was replaced by some stupid channel called ovation tv.  My heart sank because that was my favorite channel even though it was starting to get more rap songs than anything else.  I had to remember all the great songs and bands that they played and I'm still trying to remember some.  They sould've at least left the website alone.  We need to do something about this and let ovation know how we really feel.

OMFG!!! I am so upset they took off IMF channel. That was the only channel where you can be xposed to great music from all around the world. I swear, I rather never watch another video than to watch another hip hop, or rap video on any other channel. Thats all they play on MTV.!!!!!! So straight up. Do they honestly think that everyone watching rock/hip hop from other countries, will be interested in classical crap? Like honestly im sure they lost a fourth of their viewers… At the LEAST. Classical is okay to some people, I get that. But people watchet IMF to discover rock/hip hop from other countries, Not shit classical. It's not like the honestly expect us to like the crap.

IMF was the one channel that I could always rely on for entertainment. It was the only channel ever didicated to music, and music only. I found some of my favorite artists off of there, that without, there would be no way in hell I would know about without IMF. I could probabally rant about this forever. But seriously, No one likes that Ovation crap.

IMF was a great channel! Most of my music that I have in my collection I first saw on IMF, and it being replaced with Ovation TV is really annoying. Every other music channel has either sold out or has terrible variety. I'm sure parts of Ovation are great but from what I've seen it was incredibly boring, and most deffinitely nothing compared to IMF

IMF was an awsome show and showcased some old school videos that MTV would never think to put in there constant blast of loop video now. I was blown away to read this but everything good always comes to an end…BUT wait i can turn on ovation and fall asleep faster now…..

IMF was a favorite channel of mine, I have read all commentaries here, and I agree to this. Ovation TV can go screw themselves. I for one, have already got many people to write to OvationTV to tell them how big of a mistake it was for them to make such an aweful change in IMF's channel. I wish we could I get an email or something going around to get IMF back or something very similar in exchange for this buyout. What did we get in return for it? Nothing, just stupid crap that no one's gonna watch. They made the same mistake when they launched in 1997, and made a much bigger mistake buying out IMF. I will see to it that OvationTV loses more and more viewers until they bring back IMF, or something similar in exchange! Goodbye Ovation, enjoy the competition.

I am so beyond pissed! I want my friggin IMF back right now. I loved IMF. It was the only channel on cable that actually showed MUSIC videos. MTV sucks, VH1 sucks, Fuse was okay but now it's just conforming right along with the rest of them. IMF was a breath of fresh air. It introduced me to so much music. All the music on my Ipod right now is thanks to IMF. What am I supposed to do with Ovation TV? I see no music, and when there is music it's classical. Don't get me wrong, I love art, and the photography shows they have are great. But I would not trade IMF for THAT. Is there any way in the world IMF can come back?! Petitions, anything?! I don't care if someone has to get on their knees damnit, I just want my IMF, NOW!

If you won't bring IMF back, (which would be ideal) then at least start a new music channel that shows MUSIC, not reality tv.  Give us music videos, show us behind the scenes of video shoots, interviews with the artists, anything MUSIC (mostly videos please!).  NOT shows about has beens, wanna bes, and never weres.  Just music, music, music!!!!

My one other problem is that we were never prepared for the change.  Not on the IMF website, not on the Dish Network website, and not on the TV.  Not even a newsletter with the bill!!  Even now there is nothing on Dish Network.com about the change or the reason for it. 

Please give us a MUSIC channel!!!

IMF was my absolute favorite channel on our dish. I was always telling people about the cool new song/ video I saw. I finally found new music to buy. Hello world was great!! What is wrong with you people. Imf was the only station on tv that actually showed music from ALL OVER THE WORLD hence the name. I loved this channel so much it was the only placed I looked to for new music. I'll admit somtimes I had no idea what the people were saying but the international language of the music still came through. Now I'm stuck with Ovation. Thanks for nothing. If I wanted to see nothing but hoyty toyty people talking about art they sit in their country clubs and discuss I'd hang out at the local club house. This is not the case. PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU BRING BACK THE INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FEED PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY BRING BACK THE MUSIC .

IMF was the best music channel I had ever seen.  To replace it with Ovation TV is like trading gold for dog crap.  Now that IMF is gone, I feel like a good friend has died.

Oh my Gawd. They messed this up. I tottally spazed when I saw that IMF wasn't on tv anymore. Journey to the Center of the Rock was my FAV SHOW EVER. And they HAD to take it away. At first I thought I was high when the usual shows weren't on. I thought it was just a temp. thing but no, it wasn't. I mean really, I'd watch IMF as much as I possibly could. But that one day when it wasn't on anymore REALLY made the cherry on top of a great year. I just hope they bring it back.

I came across IMF one day in june 2005, for 3 years it was one of my favorite channels.
One of the comments I read said "you've lost millions of fans"  almost true.
I would say -all the fans.
It was the last true music channel, especially the first year, when it had no commercials, now we have to go back to MTV, MTV2, VH1 & fuse
1 hour of music videos 23 hours of trash, oh well.
Email me when you bring IMF back, until then I can watch some of the over 500 music videos I burned on DVD from IMF

Everyone should call 1-800-OVATION to express their complete and utter dissappointment with this change. There was nothing like IMF on TV and now it's gone. Ovation has to be one of the worst channels available on dishnetwork. I, for one hopes that this channel fails miserably and fast. If there is anyone out there with the power, listen to the masses and give the people what they want! We want IMF back!!! Until this happens, BOYCOTT Ovation, it's not worth watching anyway. There was nothing like IMF on TV. Ovation will never have the kind of devoted hardcore following that IMF has acheived. I cannot begin to express my complete and utter disappointment in IMF's demise. Hopefully someone at Dish network understands customer statisfaction, because all of IMF's massive fanbase are completely dissatisfied. i miss imf so bad… Journey to the Center of Rock was the best. IMF replaced Fuse to me, because Fuse has went MTV on me. I remember the days when i'd get home and i could count on Fuse giving me some good music. Now i've lost both of my music channels, one just left and the other should have left. Please, someone make a channel dedicated to music, whose main focus is rock. a channel that will help the little bands too. not just bands like MCR. a channel that will play stuff like before Their Eyes, and cry of the afflicted. ANd it can play some mainstream stuff too.

Well, I was away from my Dishnetwork and Atlanta for a month.  I got a double shock when I got back - Cumulus Radio had destroyed Atlanta's New Music Station 99x and UMG had destroyed International Music Feed.  I had lost TWO of my favorite sources of music!!!  One of the reasons I had the package I had with Dish Network was to get IMF.  IMF was also a reason I had resisted offers from ComCast and DirectTV.  With no IMF, I think I will be scaling back my subscription.b With no 99x, I am thinking about getting XM Radio for my HHR retro car.

i learned of more artists in just a few weeks than i had ever heard of in my lifetime.
when i got home from a hectick day of school one day all i wanted to do was sit on the couch & watch IMF for a couple of hours. I turned on the t.v. & my jaw dropped.[thinking to myself] "Ovation..what the crap is that?" i figured if it replaced IMF it had to be good. so i watched for a few minutes. i wanted to die.they completely destroyed the meaning of music. music is something you're sopposed to enjoy…who enjoys that?

so long story short i'm never goin to Umg ever again!
i guess i'll just go watch something like MTV to get my music…OH WAIT! they don't even play music anymore.
IMF made me want to tell Mtv to change their name. how could they have called themselves music television. they should have left that name to the real music television IMF.

What the hell! IMF was one of the only channels I ever watched. In fact, the only bands that I listen to are the ones that i heard on IMF. Thanks a lot Universal. YOu universally SUCK! Ovation sucks balls too!

This was a huge shock to find my fav channel gone. IMF was the only true music channel, unlike MTV or VH1, who these days are caught up in the reality tv. I hope the network will change their mind and put IMF back on the air. Like everyone else I will probably just go down to the basic channels, because it's no longer worth it to me.

I did a triple take to make sure i was on the correct channel, 157 for those who do not know dish.  Tremendously disappointed with the new programming someone tell me what to do to get it back seriously tell me soon before i accidentally change it back to 157 and relive that dreadful day!!!!!!

What the hell is Ovation?  IMF was actually pretty awesome.  They played videos that you can't find on MTV or VH1.  Bands from other countries do put out really great music, and I didn't realize that until I started to watch IMF.  I had IMF on my list on Dish network, but it's coming off now, because I'm not watching that Ovation sh*t, whatever the hell it is.  It all looked gay to me.  Maybe enough of us will b*tch about not having it anymore, and maybe they'll get enough bad ratings on Ovation, that they will bring IMF back.  Sure hope so, because I miss IMF, and from what I just read, many others do, too.  F*ck Ovation!

I loved IMF's rock. I also put up with the hip-hop and everything and no Ovation took it over. Ovation sucks. I just found this site because I was wondering what happened to IMF. I don't understand either. IMF was getting big. I would see its commercial's on all sorts of other channels. Now the only real music video channel is fuse. I am in the same boat as the people above.  I had Dish net .  I then went to a differnet service.  The only thing I messed was IMF, I wanted to go back to Dish until I saw it was replaced for outher show.  My kids and I are upset that IMF is gone. IMF was the only channel to show music throughout the world, and i believe that is where the problem is considering that our beloved country is so self absorbed. I Hate that new channel. its really really really boring.I would always watch IMF before and after school becuz none of the other music channels would play MUSIC. IMF was the only reason I had kept Dish Network.  IMF was a huge part of my daily routine.  Replacing such a great station like IMF with this pathetic substitute is like switching HBO with the Home Shopping Network (with HSN's representative telling me that infomercials are a lot like movies…).  If Dish Network had just stopped carrying IMF like they did with some of my local stations, I could just find another provider.  But by dissolving the network altogether there is no hope. 

Sorry Dish Network, it may not be your fault this time, but this was the last straw. 

Ovation TV, you have just made me your enemy and I am not alone.

Many times IMF was the only decent bit of programming on our tv and two generations of people would be watching it intently. We found some great bands and artists and even though the musical tastes varied, there was something for everyone (although we could have done without the hip hop).

Why in the world would they take off IMF and replace it with a jazz and art channel? COME ON, I think IMF beat the crap out of Ovation TV BY FAR! This message is to the marketing firms that made this decision or to whom made the decision: "If this is the best of your ability to come up with channel that with your background is going to win the music generation of the present then any monkey or dumbass can be in the marketing business.or in the position in making such a idiotic decision. But just like Walmart and any other store you buy your goods at no matter how much you love the brand there's always a dumbass buyer that will take that item out of the store and put something they as the buyer think will sell. Imagine my shock and horror discovering that IMF was GONE!!!  I have found so many good bands because of that channel that would never otherwise even be heard of here in the states.  Bring it back!!!!  I want my IMF!!!!!!  This Ovation channel is AWFUL and nowhere near comparable.  What the hell were they thinking??  Passage to India on Ovation; I think not.  UGH!!!

Im with Justin but lets not just stop with a phone call. I purpose we start a petition to get the ball rolling. Im just like all you other people who said that the only thing i love to have on my TV playing all the time is IMF. It was such a bummer one night i came home and turned my TV on to watch IMF and fall asleep listening to their awesome music, but then in the morning i realized it wasn't IMF at all! I thought surely i had the wrong channel. Now picture my bewilderment when i checked the channel guide and IMF was nowhere to be found! So i suggest us music lovers start a movement to get IMF Back!!!

I just called 1-800-ovation and voiced my complaint about the loss of IMF and the customer service rep explained that they're going to have stuff about all of the arts and not just music. And then I explained how I only wanted to watch music videos and thats why I watched IMF.

He said he's only had 10 complaints so far, will you please call and complain? Then we'll find out if they're actually keeping track.

Presumably you paid something to obtain IMF's viewers and now you're driving them away:  you're using a totally incompatible programming genre and deliver it in a spectacular deaf-tone manner.  If your execs are so enamored of CBC's Hear Music, they should move to Vancouver; they shouldn't wipe out what was a beacon of new and interesting music in a sea of wanna-be reality programming labeling themselves as music channels.  What a waste ...

Between BET and the Latino stations (LATV & MTV Tres), good music programming is still out there. Just not as international or off-beat.

obviously, ovation tv is made up of a bunch of idiots that cant see the difference between antiquated classical music and the unique, well rounded blend of music that IMF offered. if they counldn't see the difference in music, then they most certainly wouldn't be able to see the difference in the well audience. how do they think that they could ever gain a large audience by taking over a channel that has nothing to do with what they are about?! I don't watch TV, but at the Gym, IMF was what got me going. I was actually on the elipitical when OVATION cut into my normal routine….the dramatic difference of programming made me think it was a joke…. This is not good.

That new channel is simply boring, I couldn't watch it for 5 minutes! I would watch IMF for hours and not get tired of it. FUSE is a good channel, but not as good as IMF. I went out of town for 2 weeks and I came home to this, it's pathetic! It basically ruined my stays at home sick. ='(

I love the arts, but will NOT be watching this channel on principle. Getting rid of IMF is absolutely horrible, I've bought loads of music from artists around the world that I never would have heard of if not for IMF. Also, the world is more global now; there are people here from all around the world who watched IMF because it was something from home and now it's gone. What a shitacular decision..

When I found out that IMF was no longer on Dish I flipped!!! Why?! Well first of all, I would always get the latest music here and I was sure, that whenever I wanted to listen to good music, for more than an hour mind you, IMF would be there for me. Now I seem to spend more time trying to look for good music than listening to it. Also, this was the only music TV station that introduced to us, Music Lovers, music from all over the world, which was one of its strong points. This situation is really upsetting me!!!!!!!!! I am so angry that I cannot find the right words to even begin to explain how full of rage I am. Seriously, BRING IMF BACK NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Or I AM GOING TO RIP MY HEAD OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spent 2 hours not 2 min or seconds 2 HOURS listening to a program in French about a guy covering a bridge in fabric and calling it art.., no doubt it was pretty but art? I was very disappointed this weekend to find IMF gone and Ovation taking over.  I have learned of so many interesting bands and music trends because of this channel.  In a time where "music channels" have turned into conduits for realitiy tv, I thought this channel was different and refreshing.  I hope that some young genius at Universal has thought of a new way to showcase new international acts that want to be big in US.  Until then, I guess turning off the TV and listening to the radio is my only choice.

if you have verizon fios you still have imf, unless my tv is retarded or they are going to get rid of it cause they havent yet…. they have a seperate channel for Ovation TV… but that sucks its like taking away MTV, VH1 of FUSE

I was exposed to all sorts of music and geography (in a tongue in cheek way) by the IMF channel.  In fact I spent quite a bit of time watching IMF for entertainment and decompression.  This Ovation TV channel has reallly missed the mark with its current programming and DISH Tv will likely suffer most from lost viewership.  I gave Ovation a chance and it just doesn't fill the IMF shoes or even IMF's socks.  I miss the IMF and hope somebody will create a replacement / imitation.  IMF you were great and so all good things must come to an end.

BIG mistake guys, very Big mistake…IMF was a great channel that had good music and it even educated you from the local feed. Every other music channel now does the stupid reality shows and they rarely play music anymore. I really enjoyed watching music videos from other countrys. Please put it back on the TV.

I 'm sure I 'm older than most of IMF's fans but it really doesn't matter. IMF was my favorite channel by far. It was my window to the world. It opened me up to music I didn't even know existed. IMF was the only decent channel out of 600 options.  I am going to cancel my satellite subscription:  I've already seen half the shows in the early 90's, and I would rather scrub the toilet than watch the other BS I get force-fed.  I miss IMF.

Scandalous!!  The majority of my viewing time was spent on IMF.  It was a reliable old friend, when nothing else was on, IMF was there for you.  Come on, I spent 20 min. trying to find out where IMF had been moved to.  They can leave Ovation where it is, just give IMF a spot.

Please, please bring back IMF. I have hundreds of channels available and I always ended up watching IMF, it was fresh, eclectic, new, and excellent. There is nothing available in DirectTV, Sky ,4DTV or anywhere else as satisfying to the music lover.Please reconsider your decision.

I am VERY upset over the loss of IMF. In my view we should not only boycott Ovation TV, but make it clear that we are doing so. If you look at the majority of investors, they are more business than art oriented. I believe that a general boycott of the Ovation TV and its advertisers would force them back into reality. We are not the audience Ovation TV thinks it is getting! If they want to generate income, they have to return to the old format.  If anyone has a plan of action or can organize or co-organize a boycott, a letter writing campaign, etc. You would have my full support. We should make it clear that you don't win viewers by eliminating what they watch, you win them with quality programming that interests them. And while some people will love their programming, very few of them will be viewers of IMF… WE HAVE BEEN STABBED IN THE BACK! Therefore, I call for a boycott of Ovation TV, Mirimax and Dimension Films (Weinstein company is a huge investor in Ovation TV), The Reelz channel (though I don't think anyone watches it anyway), and any company that advertises on their channel. If we make the reason clear, and we cut 2-5% of their revenue, we can get our channel back! Who is with me?!

I can't believe that IMF is gone!!!! I didn't know that this was coming. I turned on my t.v. and tried to go to IMF and here's this new channel.  It doesn't seem fair to replace it with something so totally different.  Every night before I'd go to bed, my way to relax was watching IMF.  Maybe if enough people complain, something will happen.  There's strength in numbers as they say!  There's never anything to watch on t.v. as it is and the only great music channel has to be taken away.  This is totally unfair and completely uncalled for.  Let's start a petition to BRING BACK IMF!!!!!

IMF is what introduced me to so many different kinds of music. I've never been this open! I found my some of my favorite songs on there and I'm very disappointed and mad that they're gone. Maybe after all the negative feedback they'll leave and we'll get our Bridge to Latin Amercia, One World and Passage To India back.

This is terrible news.  When I found out Ovation had taken the slot formerly occupied by IMF, I was incensed.  Audio feeds are fine for background listening, but a 24/7 video feed is much better!

I am very disappointed about losing IMF which, in my view, was a true music channel as opposed to MTV and VH1.  I am certain IMF had a large viewership because of its extensive and interesting lineup of music from many areas of this earth.  I am an arts lover, but I am a music lover first.  Where will I (and the rest of the folks who tuned in every day to IMF) get my rock fix after coming home from a long day at work.  Thanks a lot, Universal, for selling out.

I am ABSOLUTELY disappointed to find out that IMF sold out to Ovation.  I don't mind that Ovation switched over to dishnetwork, but it should NOT REPLACE IMF.  IMF was the one and only channel that was dedicated to actually playing music [from all over the world] of all types from mainstream to independent and thus living up to its name as the INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FEED.  I found out about artists that I probably would never have known if it weren't for this channel.  Now, I have nothing to watch [sad face] because there is NO other current music channel that could ever live up to IMF.  I also agree with the other comments, UMG has somehow forgotten to factor in THEIR TARGET MARKET in this whole business deal. The target market for IMF in comparison to the target market of Ovation seems to be quite opposite.  I don't understand how anyone could replace a channel with content that is SO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.  I am an artist so I'm all about art , culture and music of all forms, but why not have a separate channel for Ovation Tv and KEEP the channel for IMF…..it doesn't seem that difficult, it's no rocket science. I agree with you Taylor…."IMF gave me a reason to live".  I am sooo disappointed, you have no idea….....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back IMF!!!

Seriously, IMF was my favourite channel (other than Sirus 33 Trance) because it played actual good rock from around the globe. Even Japanese-rock like Girugamesh and stuff. As other people have said, UMG has made a horrible mistake. Thousands of viewers are not going to watch that. I sure as heck won't. I totally agree with Tayler and Nicole who commented here. They have made a horrible mistake by doing that; so many people are going to stop watching and they seriously, as Tayler said, set themselves up to fail. And my computer isn't fast enough to watch Youtube or anything, so now it's going to be hard to watch Japanese rock videos. This is a serious mistake, and they will pay for this horrible mistake by the loss of viewers. Good luck trying to win us, including me, back to watch the channels…

I hope they know that they just lost thousands of customers and probably are not going to be gaining back a fifth of that back with this new channel. It was a horrible mistake. IMF was my favorite channel, and now I'm only back to the internet to watch my Japanese videos. I hope they realize their horrible mistake and bring IMF back.

I am quite diatisfied with this new arrangement. Where will I go to for rock music from other countries, twenty-four hours a day? Nowhere now, that's where. Classical music is all fine and dandy, but it's just not my thing, sure I put up with the hip-hop and rap on IMF, but it was nothing compared to how painful it was to sit though 10 minutes of classical mumbo-jumbo; violins, cellos and piano solos. And it was still going on, almost 40 minutes later. Sure I flipped though a few movie channels, but nothing was on, and if IMF was still here, everything would be more fine and dandy than some lousy classical music. It disappoints me to think UMG thought they would bring more culture into our lives with Ovation "classical days" TV. I don't think they even gave a thought to who their prime viewers were in the first place. UMG set themselves up to fail. Period.
