Vance Publishing Acquires Two Cattle Sites: CattleNetwork, CattleStore
Vance Publishing, a B2B publisher home to various niche titles, has acquired two online cattle resources: CattleNetwork.com and CattleStore.com, both of which were bought owned by Integrated Management Information. Deal terms were not disclosed. CattleNetwork is basically an online news service for industry players, while CattleStore is a site for agricultural supplies. The deal is Vance’s first pure-digital acquisition, and it plans to continue growing by acquisition. The sites will be part of Vance’s Food360 network, which includes such titles as Pork Magazine and Dairy Herd Management. CattleNetwork competes with my personal favorite (seriously) Beef Magazine, which is owned by Penton Media. Release.

Joseph, where did you pick-up “seriously” as a credible business reporting term? Apparently, you weren’t included when Rafat said (regarding PC’s sale to Guardian last week) that “for our team, the biggest consideration was working with a media company known for its journalistic integrity”. You don’t have to tell us your “personal favorite” to get the humor.

Hey MN reader
I think a little humor once in a while help…so does colloquial language. I don’t see how that effects our journalistic integrity…

I just hope that by exposing my preference, I haven’t burned any bridges in the online cattle vertical.

No, but the sheep folks may have a problem with you.
