Vevo’s First Launch Sponsor: AT&T
Vevo, the JV music video site by Sony (NYSE: SNE), Universal and backed by YouTube, will be making some money right at launch, through its first launch sponsor announced today: AT&T (NYSE: T). No word on how big the sponsorship is or how long (though says it is “long-term”), but it means AT&T will be promoted across Vevo.com when the service launches later this year. The company says it will announce more sponsors in coming weeks. Recently Vevo announced an investment from Abu Dhabi Media Company, at an estimated $300 million valuation.
