Video Ad Network YuMe Raises $9 Million Second Round
YuMe, a Redwood City, CA-based video advertising network, received a $9 million second round from Khosla Ventures, Accel Partners, BV Capital, DAG Ventures. The company had earlier raised $7 million from Khosla, Accel and BV Capital in March, bringing its total amount raised to $16 million. YuMe offers a variety of ad forms, and promises effective targeting in a “brand-safe” environment, meaning ads won’t appear next to objectionable content. It also claims its ads will remain intact if a video is downloaded and played on a different device. Competition in this space has grown since the last funding, with several startups having launched and gained funding this year. The company says this round will help it continue its expansion. Release.

How are these guys different from Brightroll (http://www.brightroll.com video ads for general content) or NeoEdge Networks (http://www.neoedge.com video ad network focusing on video games)?
There seem to be a lot of these ad networks and I don’t see the points of differentiation just by reading the info on their web sites.
