Vadver, a viral video recommender, has raised $1.7 million in first round funding from Draper Fisher Jurvetson, NewTeeVee reports. The company, which NewTeeVee compares to Mesmo.tv and Divvio, is currently in pre-launch mode. It’s headed by Patrick Koppula, who previously worked with music-based social net iLike. At the moment, Vadver’s website is asking for consumers to register for alpha testing. It is currently working on a Facebook and TiVo apps.
