@ Monaco: Video: Dave Morgan, EVP, Global Ad Strategy, AOL: Trying To Find a New Magnetic North
Earlier this morning I did a short video interview with Dave Morgan, the newly appointed EVP of Global Advertising Strategy for AOL. Morgan was the CEO of Tacoda, the behavioral ad network which was bought by AOL (NYSE: TWX) earlier this year. I asked him about his news role, the Tacoda integration, Platform-A and if that’s the answer for AOL, picking the spots in the market, and other pressing issues for AOL.
RSS readers will have to click through to watch the 7 minute video.

I am an ex AOLer and I can tell you Falco, Grant, Dave Morgan, David Liu, etc. are repositioning this business to powerfully capture the ad dollars going forward by making search advertising the NEW DNA of the business. I still think they need a strong local platform within Platform A like a ReachLocal, etc. to round out the effective selling of the network but sure they are addressing all this in due time.

AOL is clearly repositioning itself and create a niche for itself . they are addressing the issues and i think they would be in position to work out local platforms to dole out effective selling strategies for the network.
