Video News Site Mediascrape Raises $3.16 Million
Mediascrape, a site that aggregates news video, has raised C$3.2 million (US$3.16 million) from unidentified investors. The Montreal-based company aggregates video from a variety of sources, including BBC and CBC, while also doing syndication and translation into multiple languages. The announcement coincides with the launch of a new site that, among other things, offers a new interface for mashing up video with Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Maps. Release.
