Ourmedia.org, one of the first video sharing sites (and a non-profit one at that), has merged with Outhink Media, a company that provides services to indie digital media producers. Ourmedia started in early 2005, but never really caught on as others like YouTube made it easier to upload and share videos. Now, the site is changing its focus from anyone-can-upload to a “community of professional, semi-pro and amateur media makers where you can showcase your best videos and podcasts”, it says. The company expects this will appeal to quality content consumers and ad clients. More here.
