Video Streaming Company Move Networks Gets A Big $34 Million, From Disney’s VC Arm And Others

Move Networks has been out there raising a big round for a while now, and it has finally closed: the company, based in American Fork, Utah, has raised $34 million from Steamboat Ventures (part of Disney) and Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, and others, bringing its total haul to $45 million, following an $11.4 million round last December, according to PEHub. Move is the company powering the ABC.com HD streaming, launched earlier in the summer…it technology allows to improve the delivery and quality of online video (HD-like quality), while eliminating buffering, or so it claims.
