Schmidt Makes The TV Rounds Talking Google TV

So, the usual question for Google (NSDQ: GOOG) in the wake of its announcement of Google TV: How will it make money from a platform that it will be licensing to device makers for free? CEO Eric Schmidt provided some broad thoughts during appearances this afternoon on CNBC and Fox Business. The bottom line, according to Schmidt: “This is about building out a platform with millions of people ... When you have millions of people using something there are plenty of ways to make money from it.” Schmidt said there was a particular opportunity in targeted TV ads via the platform.
