Virtual Worlds Tech Firm ProtonMedia Raises $2.5 Million Funding
ProtonMedia, virtual worlds tech and services firm, has raised $2.5 million in funding, according to an SEC filing. The Pennsylvania-based company develops virtual training and education environments for brands like BP, Eli Lilly and Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business; it did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the source of the funding.
Competitors include Forterra Systems, American Research Institute, as well as Second Life parent company Linden Lab (with its Second Life Grid product, currently in use by IBM).
