Vysr Raises $2 Million From For New Browsing Method

As someone that once had 156 tabs open in a single Firefox window, this sounds appealing: Vysr, a start-up offering a new way to browse that promises fewer tabs, has raised $2 million from angles, according to VentureBeat. Investors include Ron Conway, The Sandhill Group and Mark Sherman of Battery Ventures. The service works within Firefox by opening up a new window within another window (kind of like picture-in-picture on a TV), rather than opening up a new browser after clicking on a link. The SF-based company is trying to do more than just solve the tab issue, as it sees a broader shift in how users browse that doesn’t necessitate going to multiple sites to accomplish something. Release.
