Widget Analytics Firm Gigya Gets $9.5 Million Funding

Gigya, the online widgets tracker and analytics firm based in Palo Alto CA, has raised $9.5 million in a second round of funding from Mayfield Fund and two existing investors, Benchmark Capital and First Round Capital. Gigya’s technology allows widgets makers such as RockYou, and online publishers to Gigya monitor ads across their widgets…it also helps in distribution and development of these widgets. It competes against the likes of Clearsping, or Slide which has it own internal technologies.
