YouTube Announces First Video Award Winners
The virtual envelope please…YouTube named its first ever Video Award winners Monday and the top honors went to the Chicago band OK Go for their music video featuring treadmill choreography. That video, which was seen by 13 million YouYube users took the best creative prize, though in the actual best music video category, voters chose LA-based singer-songwriter TerraNaomi. Users had a week to vote on a dedicated section within YouTube. Other top winners include:
—Best Series: Ask a Ninja
—Best Comedy: Smosh
—Best Commentary: The Winekone
—Most Inspirational: Free Hugs Campaign
—Most Adorable Video: Kiwi
