imageVideo ad network YuMe has raised $2.9 million of a $4.5 million round, according to a regulatory filing (Via Venturebeat). Investors were not disclosed, although YuMe is backed by Khosla Ventures, Accel Partners, BV Capital and DAG Ventures. With the additional funds, the company will have raised almost $19 million since it was established in March 2007. The company raised $9 million in a second round in October 2007—money the company said it would use to fund its expansion. Since then, YuMe has landed a high profile deal with Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) to put ads on videos on the company’s online properties.
