Dating Service Zoosk Raises $6 Million In Third Round

imageUpdated: Online dating network Zoosk has raised $6 million in a third round led by existing investors, including Canaan Partners. The dating site claims 30 million users. It can be accessed via a Zoosk application on multiple social networks, including Facebook, MySpace, and Bebo, or from Zoosk.com. In a statement, the company said it would use the new funds to increase its market share as well as the size of its work force.

The company does not disclose revenues—which it generates from premium memberships, advertising, as well as the sale of virtual goods—but it says it surpasses that of “multiple publicly traded online dating companies in the U.S.” The company raised $4 million in a second round last June from Canaan as well as ATA Ventures.
