We’ve covered at length the varying experiences our writers and readers have had with the Amazon Unbox video download store. Apparently some of the reports have made it to Amazon, because tomorrow an upgraded version of the player will be made available. According to an email sent this morning to early Unbox customers, the “improvements” will include more control over whether the Unbox service starts when Windows starts (which few have complained about), “clearer messaging to let you know when your videos are ready to be watched” (which some have complained about), and “resolution of intermittent problems with licensing, downloading, fast-forwarding and rewinding” (which almost everyone has complained about). There’s also a whopping $1.99 instant rebate for your troubles. Let us know how it works for you; the comments are always open.
