“American Idol” Digital Downloads En Route: Report

Plans call for performances from Tuesday night’s “American Idol” episode to be sold on the official site as digital audio and video downloads, according to Variety. The $1.99 video and 99-cents audio downloads could be available immediately after the show, delayed until May 9 or rights wrangling could derail the whoie thing. Fox, FremantleMedia and co-producer 19 Entertainment share in the digital revenue. Any guesses about how much they’ve already left on the table?
