Microsoft has acquired exclusive online rights for multiplayer games featuring Marvel Enterprises’ super heroes. The deal wil put Spidey, the X-men, the Fantastic Four and up to a few thousand of their closest friends and deepest enemies on Xbox 360—but not until 2008. (Is it just me or that does seem like light years away?) Microsoft’s game studio will do the development for Marvel’s first MMO console deal. Marvel’s Tim Rothwell told Reuters the deal “is our one and only.”
