Broadband Video Tech Firm Maven Gets $13 Million Third Round

Maven Networks, the Boston-based online video technology and delivery firm, has received $13 million in its third round of funding. The round was led by Prism Venture Partners, and was joined by two existing investors, Accel Partners and General Catalyst Partners. The latest round brings the company’s total funding to $30 million.
The new funding wil be used for expansion purposes. Maven’s technology helps media companies and brands launch online video channels, downloadable and streaming. Its new customers include A&E, Time Out NY, Here!TV, Clear Channel/Premier Radio, and GMTV—part of ITV UK.
