Consolidation in the press release distribution space: the third largest firm in U.S., MarketWire, has been acquired by Canadian newswire CCNMatthews in an all-cash deal.
The combined company will be competing against Business Wire and PRnewswire in U.S. Both companies will continue operating as they had prior to this acquisition with Market Wire, headquartered in LA, and CCNMatthews, headquartered in Toronto.
