Disney to Launch an Umbrella Subscription Service for Broadband

The Walt Disney Internet Group is going to launch an umbrella subscription brand for its Disney-branded services, tentatively called “Disney Connection”. The umbrella subscription service will combines games, cartoon shorts, and other Disney content. It will launch in a few European countires later this year, along with US and Asia, according to Attila Gazdag, European Managing Director of Walt Disney Internet Group, speaking at the TV Meets the Web 2003 conference in Amsterdam earlier today.

The product may/will combine its other subscription services such as the forthcoming Toontown, Disney Blast and other services, though Gazdag refused to give further details.
