Entertainment Search Startup BiggerBoat Gets Funding
BiggerBoat, calling itself the “Entertainment Search Engine”, will be launching in beta later this month, and has received an undisclosed amount of funding from Zone Ventures and First Round Capital.
LA-based Biggerboat search through entertainment content online: text, audio and video, and presents it in a comparison-shopping like grid. It’s idea to monetize: like others, contextual ad network across its search site, and its distributors (for instance, it has tied up with All Media Guide to syndicate its advertising across AllMusic.com and AllMovie.com).
