FIM Served 20 Percent Of Streaming Video In U.S. During August

We’re not big fans of constant traffic reports but with all the fuss about video lately the latest stats are worth noting ... Fox Interactive’s sites had the highest video streaming audience in the US during August with 1.4 billion streams, according to comScore’s latest data. Yahoo! recorded 823 million streams and YouTube was third with 688 million. Fox’s share, which includes MySpace, is equivalent to 20.1 percent of the streaming market in the US; Yahoo has 11.8 percent and YouTube 9.9 percent. Viacom, Time Warner and Microsoft sites also scored highly. In total, 6.98 billion video streams were served with the average user streaming two per day.
Users of the three most popular sites had much higher levels of consumption: Fox users streamed an average 35.5 videos, Yahoo! 20.;6 and YouTube 19.4 streams. Yahoo had the highest number of unique users. Release
