Mochi Media, a provider of tools for Flash games including advertising, has raised a $10 million second round from Shasta Ventures and past backer Accel Partners. The company’s previous round was for $4 million, bringing its total to $14 million. In addition to the company’s MochiAds ad network, the SF-based company offers analytics services and development tools. The company told VentureBeat that funding will go towards continued development of its operations, and it acknowledged the need to gird against the heavy competition in the advergaming space. It believes that with the continued improvements in Flash, this will be a fertile area for more advanced gaming.
