Rich e-mail design start-up Gigya raised $4 million from Benchmark Capital in its first financing round, Globes Online reported. The Israel-based company was founded in Nov. 2006 by several former employees of browser designer Hotbar. Gigya is still in beta testing to develop ways for consumers to insert games, video clips and graphics into e-mails. The company’s software makes it possible to include personal pages from MySpace in e-mails. Users can either work from their own e-mail address or register with Gigya for an account.
