Haymarket, the magazine publishing company in UK (owner of Stuff, What Car? and Autocar), has made its first foray into online community M&A, and has bought Pistonheads.com, a community website for car enthusiasts. Terms were not disclosed.
Pistonheads.com was set up eight years ago and has over 900K unique users, the company says. Haymarket added that it had no plans to introduce radical changes to the format of Pistonheads.com, which claims to achieve over 28m page impressions a month, but would aim to increase ad revenue generation.
