Heavy.com Sale Rumors Aren’t True: Founders

So we’ve heard a persistent rumor in recent weeks that Heavy.com is for sale and the asking price is $200 million. I asked founders Simon Asaad and David Carson at MIXX this morning and each said they’ve heard the same rumor but it isn’t true. They also said they’re not sure where the $200 million figure comes from; it could be a multiple of their stated $15-20 million in revenues.
—Polaris Venture Partners holds about a 25 percent interest in the company, which also may take on some hedge fund investing.
