Industry Moves: AOL Appoints Ted Cahall As Platforms Head

AOL has started making some new appointments, after a string of senior departures. Earlier this week was international and now: Ted Cahall will head the company’s Platforms business unit as EVP, Platforms reporting to Ron Grant, COO of AOL. In this newly created position, Cahall will oversee AOL Search, e-commerce, publishing platform and tools, MapQuest service and other local-based services, such as Relegence, which AOL recently acquired. Cahall will be based in Dulles, Va.
Prior to joining AOL, Cahall was EVP and COO of Classmates.com, and prior to that, was CIO at CNET Networks. Some more details here.
