Gannett Digital, created earlier this year but still a work in progress, is formalizing its operations with the appointments of executives from other areas who have been working with the division:
Daniel Donaghy to SVP-sales from VP-sales and marketing, newspaper division. He joined Gannett in 2003 from Classified Ventures.
Peter Lundquist to VP-content and product development from VP-content and operations, newspaper division. He has been with Gannett since 1996, launching DesMoinesRegister.com. Prior to that, he helped launch various Lawrence Journal-World sites.
Matthew Jones to director-mobile strategy and operations from director-mobile products, USAToday.com. He has been at Gannett since 1998; he became director of mobile products for USAToday.com last year. he retains direct responsibility for USAT Mobile.
I’m told more announcements will be coming as the division led by Jack Williams kicks into full gear.
Release.
