Smart move by NPR: it has named Ken Stern as the organization’s new CEO. He was the EVP prior to this and has been the one pushing NPR’s move into digital media in a big way. Kevin Klose, who has been the president and CEO since December 1998, will continue as president and as member of the NPR Board.
In this new role, Stern will assume all management leadership of  NPR.  As President, Klose will undertake the development of “a major new initiative for NPR and public radio designed to strengthen financial resources”.
