Yahoo is geting serious about is Yahoo Finance portal now…at last. It has brought over Peggy White as the new GM of Yahoo Finance.  In this role, she will be responsible for “overseeing content and product development, partner relationships, and sales and advertising for Yahoo Finance”. 

White will join the company on October 31, 2005. Prior to this, she was the VP and GM of Business Week Online, where she was responsible for all aspects of the web site, including business development, operations, and product development. Prior to that, White served as senior vice president of sales and business development for MSNBC.com.
