Industry Standard Is Latest Dot.Com-Era Publication to Try a Comeback

Well, if you’ve been wondering what those ads for Industry Standard are doing on my site and newsletter, your guess is right..the publication is undergoing a slow revival, thanks to the efforts of Matt McAlister..I’ve chronicled that back here earlier last year.

Now it is jumping on my formula (sorta) and adding guest bloggers for the site: Jimmy Guterman was the first one, and now Mike Butcher, both former Standard employees. I’ll be blogging for the site starting Feb 4…though I have a very incidental connection to the former Standard through my Inside.com stint…

Believe me, whatever activity is happening on the site is due to Matt’s admirable efforts, and not due to IDG’s foresight…so hold your horses on that re-launch bit…
