Yet another SV video start-up is raising VC funds. This time, as SiliconBeat reports, it’s One True Media getting $5 million from Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers; KP partner Randy Komisar has joined the board. (Bloglines founder Mark Fletcher is an advisor.) The company, co-founded by CEO Mark Moore and COO John Love last year, provides video creation tools that allow online editing without being too complicated. Video can be shared or posted to blogs. The free basic account allows 200 MB upload a month (roughly 200 pictures or 2 minutes of video), 1 GB of storage and 500 shared video views. For $3.99 a month or $39.99 annually, users get unlimited uploads, 5,000 monthly video views and 20 GB storage, as well as the ability to download their videos. One True Media also offers editing services for a fee, product creation, etc. They report 335,000 registered users; one target niche is mothers posting baby video.
News.com: It is also announcing a partnership with BabyCenter.com to provide video editing tools to its community of new mothers.
