NFL To Show Games On Yahoo For Outside-U.S. Users

This is Yahoo’s second major deal with a U.S sports league…the first one was with NHL (we covered it here and here). It has tied up with National Football League, where it will stream a full season of live games for users outside of North America. It will start this Sunday, and will cost $24.99 per week or $249.99 for the entire 17-week season.
Kinda high (higher than out of market packages on cable and satellite) but “This is not priced for mass consumer adoption. This is very targeted for an avid NFL fan,” Brian Rolapp, the NFL’s VP of media strategy said.
Yahoo has deals with FIFA for soccer, and National Hockey League playoff games to out-of-market fans in U.S.
