We’ve mentioned some part of this before: Bix (fka 900Seconds) has tapped out its first round at $6.78 million, with investment from Sutter Hill Ventures, Trinity Ventures and Stanford University. Bix founder and CEO Mike Speiser previously founded Epinions.
The site offers users to upload their talent videos and others to vote on it. To kickstart the process, Bix is hosting “Bix Second Chance Auditions,” an online audio and video karaoke contest, with a chance to win $50,000.
Walt Mossberg like the site/service, and reviews it here.
