PA Sport Acquires SportsTicker From ESPN

Press Association, UK’s national news agency, through its subsidiary PA Sports, has expanded into U.S.: it has bought out  ESPN-owned sports news and data agency SportsTicker. The two companies have been working with each other for a long time,  supplying content to each other…the new offshoot is called PA SportsTicker.
PA Sport produces editorial, data, sound and pictures on more than 40 major sports around the world. SportsTicker has been a leading sport information service in the US since 1909.
Release: SportsTicker has clients such as Yahoo Sport, Microsoft, Sportsline.com and Fox Sports. SportsTicker’s General Manager Jim Morganthaler will remain at the head of the company in the role of “Head of Sport US”.
