People Search Engine Spock Gets $1 Million Funding

People search engine startup Spock has received $1 million in venture funding from Clearstone Venture Partners, and will unveil a search engine for people by the end of the year. The Menlo Park, CA-based startup will be competing against the likes of ZoomInfo and LinkedIn (which focus on business users), and others. Spock wants to focus on general user, not just business.
The company says will make money by running relevant advertising beside the profile results. More details here.
