Primedia Sells Outdoor Titles To Hindery’s InterMedia Partners For $170 Million
PE firm InterMedia Partners is picking up Primedia’s 17 outdoor titles—magazines, web properties, events and TV/radio programming—for $170 million in cash. The deqal is expected to close in 1Q07. It’s quite a switch for Leo Hindery Jr., the InterMedia co-managing director and former cable powerhouse whose last job was launching the YES Network for George Steinbrenner. InterMedia acquired religious publisher Thomas Nelson for $473 million earlier this year. (via DealBook)
