Another funding we missed earlier this year in Q3: Lexington, MA-based online streaming video server startup Acinion received $5 million in its first round of funding. The round was led by Globespan Capital Partners and IDG Ventures. Jonathan Seelig, managing director at Globespan and co-founder of Akamai is on the board. CEO Robert Rizika was previously SVP of Worldwide Sales & Entertainment Strategy for Macrovision.
