The FeedRoom Receives $5.4 Million in Venture Funding: This venture funding for a content-related company comes after a virtual drought during the summer: The FeedRoom, a streaming media technology provider operating about 70 streaming video websites for Cisco, NBC, Tribune Company, Playboy, Netscape, Excite and iWon, among other customers, has received $5.4 million from both new and existing investors. The investors include Circle T Partners, Warburg Pincus, Ridgewood Capital, Constellation Ventures, Intel Capital, I-Hatch Ventures, the New York City Investment Fund, Peter Lund, former CEO of CBS, and Ken Moelis, head of U.S. investment banking for UBS Warburg.

The company claims to be one of the top five video streaming publishers in the world, serving more than 14 million video clips per month to an audience of over 2 million unique users. For more on the company, read an interview with the company’s VP of sales on TVSpy, titled “Making Video on the Web Work”.
