If it sounds like deja vu, you know it is: Yahoo trying to buy AOL, something it tried last year before Google scooped in and bought 5 percent in AOL. Fortune says that Yahoo has tried again recently…what’s killing Yahoo is the status quo, the story says, which is not really far off the mark.
It lists some options for Yahoo:Buy AOL; Sell to Microsoft; Merge with eBay, or stay the course…all have been suggested before.
