Verisign-Moreover: It’s (Finally) Official

The press release isn’t out yet but VeriSign paid roughly $30 million in cash for Moreover, which will form the nucleus—along with other recent acquisition Weblogs.com—of the new RealTime Publisher Services unit. Moreover President and CEO Jim Pitkow will head the new unit, which will be part of the Naming and Directory Services division headed by VeriSign SVP Mark McLaughlin. Moreover’s 35-employee staff in San Francisco and London will be expanding. paidContent.org Executive Editor Staci D. Kramer interviewed Pitkow and McLaughlin extensively this afternoon.
