Video Editing Site Eyespot Gets $3.7 Million Funding

Eyespot, an online video editing and sharing site/service backed by MP3.com founder Michael Robertson, has raised its first round of funding: $3.7 million led by Gabriel Venture Partners. Other investors in Eyespot include Express Ventures and executives from MP3.com and DivX…it has deals to provide its technology to Lions Gate, Blip.tv, Veoh Networks, Current TV and various artists, it said.
Competitor JumpCut was recently acquired by Yahoo.
