Vidavee, an online video analytics and tools provider (fka MicroNets), has raised $8 million in first round funding (I picked up the mention in a passing mention about it in this MKTW story)...the round was led by Trident Capital. The NYC-based company, founded in 2004, supplies its online video sharing and uploading tools to other companies…for instance, it supplied its software for Mobifest, a mobile phone-made film festival held in March, and the company recently added HuffingtonPost.com as a customer.
MarketWatch: Vidavee helped Huffingtonpost.com deliver provocative video ads that could be shared via email…Next quarter, Vidavee will launch a tool designed to let publishers and marketers decide when to insert video advertisements into a video, depending on where the video attracts the largest audience.
