Video Syndication Network Voxant Gets $10.5 Million Funding

Voxant, a Reston, VA-based online video syndication news network, has secured $10.5 million in its second funding around.  Investors included SoftBank Capital and Court Square Ventures, and join Longworth Venture Partners, which provided Voxant’s initial funding and participated in this round with an additional investment.
Using the network, news publishers will be able to distribute video, print, audio and still photo news content to sites and blogs, where it can then be redistributed. Voxant will have an advertising competent as well. The company has partnerships with Reuters, MSNBC, CBS and Bloomberg, Associated Press, LexisNexis and Factiva, as well as a variety of Web publishers and bloggers, it says will tell
