The Korean portal competition between Yahoo Korea, Daum, Naver and Nate is heating up now…
Yahoo Korea currently ranks fourth among Korean portals in traffic..its CEO Lee Sung-il admits the company misread Korea, one of the most active Internet locales in the world.
Lee is excited about the fast start of Yahoo Korea’s local search service “Gugi”, which was launched in July. Gugi controlled more than 50 percent of the all local search traffic in September, edging past rival offerings from Naver.com and Daum.net…
