Directory network Local.com has acquired Octane360, a domain-based local ad firm that aims its services at small businesses, domain portfolio owners, agencies and publishers. Search engine company Local.com beat its guidance for its Q3 net loss, narrowing its shortfall to $1.7 million ($0.12 per share) from last year’s $9.3 million.
