Broadband Base Reaches 4.15 Million; Tele-Density at 27.59%
The wireless growth story continued in May with 8.62 million telephone connections (wireless and wireline) being added, bringing the overall tele-density to 26.89%. No suprises as wireline subscriptions decreased to 39.05 million from 39.21 million the previous month as wireless subscriptions grew to 8.62 million as compared to 8.21 million the previous month. Broadband subscription base grew to 4.15 million, up 14 lakhs from 4.01 million the previous month. Full release here
