Broadband Content Bits: Kutcher, Slide Launch KatalystHQ; Yahoo Buzz
— Kutcher’s Katalyst, Slide to debut KatalystHQ: The Katalyst Media/Slide collaboration Ashton Kutcher announced at our Year-End Digital Review finally has a name: KatalystHQ. The original series debuts today via Slide’s FunSpace widgets; it’s a reality TV-style parody of the daily lives of employees at Katalyst, the content development studio Kutcher co-founded with Jason Golderg. Cheetos has signed on as the show’s sponsor.
— *Yahoo* to port “Buzz” to TV: Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) is developing a half-hour show around its news- and trend-spotting property “Yahoo Buzz“; News Corp.’s Twentieth Television will co-produce. The show will cover the day’s top 10 stories as ranked by the site; former MTV VJ Ananda Lewis has been floated as one of the co-hosts (via the NYT).
Yahoo should do that. Its a great idea. Maybe also a separate top 10 tech news, and top 10 stock market news. This will also open for new advertising and marketing avenues.
